Stellar Days & Nights / Rocky Mountain Ranch Dance Quick History
For many years there was a fabulous annual winter contra dance weekend called Stellar Days and Nights.  It was near Buena Vista, Colorado, at the Adventure Unlimited Ranch.  It was sponsored by the local music and dance non-profit organization Arkansas Valley* Music and Dance (AVMAD).

The dance weekend was known for its nationally-recognized callers and bands, yummy and plentiful food by Chef Matthew, and of course, glorious mountain views.  But by 2018, costs had gone up to the point where the weekend was no longer feasible, and it was declared “finished” (but…not quite…).

Then, again sponsored by AVMAD, at the same ranch, still with Chef Matthew, and still with nationally-recognized talent, the Rocky Mountain Ranch Dance was held January 17-20, 2020. It was a huge success, with a great turn out, and fine praise given (see the Reviews)!   (but then…  the world was put on hold due to COVID19…)

We are so glad to report that we’ve successfully RELAUNCHED the STELLAR DAYS & NIGHTS, which was held January 17-20, 2025.   We filled all 100 spots; and everyone had a wonderful time!  Thanks to our wonderful 2025 talent:
